Child Protection Awareness Week
In 2008 the Redcliffe Hospital Foundation decided to support this National Association for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect (NAPCAN) initiative by organising and underwriting a Family Fun Day at the Redcliffe Youth Space.
Offering free admission, rides, activities and entertainment the day was designed to facilitate the distribution of vital information to the parents, guardians and carers of young children.
The event was such a success, attracting more than 2500 visitors, that it has become an annual event, with plans to expand its size and scope each year.
