Foundation Lodge
One of the first major projects of the Redcliffe Hospital Foundation was to establish "The Foundation Lodge". This will provide a safe, secure place for family members to stay close by if they have a distance to travel to visit loved ones while they are in hospital. The Foundation in partnership with Queensland Health, completely refurbished the old nurses quarters to create two self-contained apartments.
The Foundation Lodge was officially opened on Friday 18th May 2007, by The Hon. Stephen Robertson, Minister for Health. The opening was attended by members of the local community who have very generously supported this project.
The day to day management of the Lodge is undertaken by the Redcliffe Hospital in order to ensure appropriate use and utilisation of the facility.
The Rotary Club of Redcliffe City have also been extremely generous and will be assisting the Foundation with establishing drought tolerant, water wise gardens at "The Foundation Lodge" to provide a quiet and peaceful area.
